If you offer medical diagnostic imaging services, regardless of whether you are a hospital or operate a private practice, then it is of utmost importance that you obtain ACR accreditation now.  The process of obtaining the accreditation can take up to 6 months. There will soon be a high demand on the American College of Radiology to conduct their investigations of practices and hospitals and so it will take even longer to complete the accreditation process. This will be problematic in the near future when everyone practicing in this field and all institutions offering these services will need accreditation by January 1, 2012. Learn More
