• RSI will perform third-party testing to ensure your newly installed equipment works as specified prior to use. Should be performed immediately after installation.

Radiological Equipment Performance Evaluations performed in compliance with the standard of practice and the Florida Control of Radiation Hazard Regulations

RSI will test equipment to confirm unit is operating within safe levels and producing acceptable image quality.

RSI will monitor your R/F equipment for:

• Integrity of unit assembly


• Collimation and radiation beam alignment

• Fluoroscopic phantom image quality


• KVp accuracy and reproducibility


• Linearity of exposure versus mA

• Image receptor entrance exposure


• Fluoroscopic alignment test


• Equipment radiation safety functions


• Patient dose monitoring system calibration, if

• Video and digital monitor performance


• Digital image receptor performance

• Determination of acceptable levels of radiation to fetus based on gestation age and dosage.
