ACR Accreditation Support

Support for ACR Accreditation:

  • Phantom Scanning - Our Medical physicists will perform the phantom scanning for you, evaluating the results immediately to determine whether the unit passes or fails. If the unit does not pass, we will work together with your service engineer to correct and then re-test.

  • Review of Diagnostic Images- If your staff requires assistance with clinical image scanning, we can help. We will also advise your staff on any changes and additions to protocol, as well as evaluate the scanned images for their ability to pass the ACR review process.

  • Management Support - We will explain the ACR process to you completely- answering questions about how long the process will take, the cost of accreditation, and how you can improve your chances of passing.

  • Training and Quality Control - During your accreditation or re-accreditation, RSI will provide technologist training, with full Category A continuing education credits. We will also setup a quality assurance program in compliance with the ACR for the required ongoing QC. Radiation Services, Inc. provides all of the written materials you will need, making this a complete turn-key ACR solution.

The Importance of accreditation
Accreditation should be a goal for your hospital or private practice facility, regardless of required legislation. The benefits of accreditation are numerous:

  • Accreditation shows that your health center has voluntarily completed an in-depth review process to make sure it meets all nationally accepted standards.

  • Accreditation proves that your staff is fully qualified and has completed all necessary education and certifications, enabling them to competently review and understand your medical images and manage any radiation therapy treatments.

  • Accreditation reassures your patients (and staff) that your equipment has been tested to meet or exceed QA and safety guidelines, and that it is acceptable to use for the testing or treatment they will receive.
